| Art Classes for Kids (8-12) | Young artists will learn to express themselves through the exploration of an exciting artistic world! Our program teaches different drawing, painting and sculpting techniques as well as art history. Students will explore the world of art by learning about famous artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Pablo Picasso and Leonardo De Vinci. They will learn how to create a color wheel to learn about color theory and mixing techniques. | Art Classes for Teens | In this advanced course, students will be mastering their drawing, painting and sculpting techniques. The instructors will encourage students to work independently. as well as in groups on common projects. Our teachers will guide students in the preparation of portfolios, especially for those looking into getting into art colleges and universities. Students will translate their own fantasies and imaginations to the canvas, where they will learn to express their feelings and moods as well as develop into well-rounded and talented technical artists. | Bands, Ensembles and Choir | The band program at Wonder School of Music and Arts is an experience not to be missed. As students begin the program, they set goals and then work together to meet them. This social program allows students to put on one of a kind performances during the year. Students have a chance to enjoy music in a social setting, learn about group dynamics, stage presence, develop their repertoire, and collaborate as a team. This program builds lasting friendships, has been greatly motivational and inspirational to the musical life of our studio and students. |
| Group Piano Classes | Our group piano classes are a wonderful way for our young beginners to explore the world of music in a social and engaging environment! Students practice using digital pianos and keyboards, and throughout the course acquire the fundamental skills needed to further their passion for music. Our highly qualified and experienced teachers will help the students play a variety of songs, develop their technique, improve their listening skills, as well as help compose simple pieces. Learning to sight read is another important component of this course. |
| Music and Art Camp | At Wonder School Music and Art's camps, your child can pick up a new instrument, reinforce skills for an instrument they already play, and have fun exploring their artistic side. Our camps offer a busy day, with daily outdoor play, daily music and art lessons, and a variety of other opportunities to socialize, explore, and have fun! The week at camp is wrapped up by a show put on in our performance hall, where the children demonstrate what they have learned that week to an audience. |
| Music Exploration Classes (Ages 2-6) | Wonder School of Music and Arts has partnered with Musikgarten, one of the world's leading musical programs created specifically for to cater to the various stages of a child's development. The program cultivates a child's musical development through songs, tonal and rhythm patterns, poetry and stories, movement activities, listening games, and instrumental play. Rudimentary music skills such as pitch matching, beat competency, ensemble development, and music notation are introduced through active participation in music and music making. The class also focuses on refining children's ensemble skills and reading music notation. |
