Service | Service Description |
Charitable donations | Charitable organizations, non-profits, care facilities and educational institutions may request to receive IT equipment. Qualified groups can request a range of equipment, all of which is refurbished and cleared of previous data, at no cost to the approved organization. |
Charitable fundraising program | ERA offer fundraising options to charitable organizations. The organization simply needs to host a collection drive in partnership with ERA. At the close of the collection drive, equipment will be sorted and weighed, and a cheque issued to the charitable organization responsible for the collection drive. |
Community clean-up services | ERA will provide resources (for the purposes of collecting and removing qualified electronic waste) to community associations for their cleanup initiatives at no cost. This can include staffing, collection receptacles and removal services on the day of the event. |
Corporate pickup services | ERA offers cost effective corporate pickup services for unwanted IT assets, such as computers, laptops, printers, monitors, servers, phones and other handheld devices, computer parts and other related peripherals. |
IT asset reporting | Corporate clients will receive an inventory report upon completion of scheduled pickups that will include the make, model and serial number of all equipment collected. A donation certificate which includes a monetary valuation of equipment can be requested. Destruction certificates are issued according to client's preference of data removal type upon completion of data removal. |
Physical data destruction | ERA owns numerous AmeriShred hard drive shredding devices. These devices physically shred hard drives and other data storage devices (USB keys, discs and tapes, etc). Shredders can be rented for onsite destruction, or offsite shredding can be requested and completed by qualified techs under video surveillance. |
Software based data destruction | ERA removes data from all equipment received. For software based erasure ERA uses Blancco, a random array, multiple pass data erasure software. |
