| DuraFloat Foam Floatation | DuraFloat is floatation foam encased in plastic. It can be used for floating docks, moorings, marinas, boathouses, and swim rafts in fresh & salt water applications. Benefits: Environmentally friendly encased floatation offers a variety of benefits over conventional foam including: • cost effective • ergonomically pleasing • excellent buoyancy performance • long term durability • completely eliminates penetration of marine growth • low moisture absorption • HDPE shell protects billets from contact with bottom at low tides • does not pollute marine environment • warranty protected Our DuraFloat System represents a dramatic leap forward in responsible environmental application, preformance, investment protection and reduced total cost of ownership & maintenance. We offer complete installation and delivery as well as after sale service and support. How it works: Durafloat billets contain closed-cell polystyrene foam, encapsulated in black HDPE Polyethylene, and contain two pressure treated 2x4's for easy installation (optional). They are environmentally friendly, and won't break down over time to contaminate the surrounding ecosystem. The HDPE sheathing resists UV, oil, gas, and burrowing sea life. They can be manufactured to any size or length and are priced by the cubic foot. Durafloat billets meet or exceed all Government standards and all welds and seams are strength tested. Buoyancy is approx 55lbs per cubic foot in fresh water and 64lbs per cubic foot in salt water. |
