| BOMA-Certified Drawings | BOMA-certified drawings are used by landlords to calculate amounts charged for leased spaces in office buildings, retail, industrial, multi-unit dwellings. Smarter Spaces' Architectural Engineering Technologists are Competency Certified in BOMA Floor Measurement. Our approach is to scan your space using a variety of technology application- 3D Laser Scanner, Laser Distance Measurer, Tablet interface solutions. We design your floor plans using Revit Architecture and AutoCAD Architecture software applications. Our detailed BOMA analysis reports consist of: Explanation of the BOMA Standard applied and critical definitions Global Summary of Areas Spreadsheet Detailed Accurate Dimensioned floor plan with outlines of tenant areas including interior layouts. Space / Area Certificates Optional – Hard and or Electronic copies About BOMA In 1915, BOMA International published the first Standard Method of Floor Measurement for Office Buildings. It has been accepted and approved by the American National Standards Institute. Throughout the years, the standard has been revised to reflect the changing needs of the real estate market and the evolution of office building design. This latest version, Office Buildings: Standard Methods of Measurement (ANSI/BOMA Z65.1 – 2010), provides a uniform basis for measuring rentable area in both existing and new office buildings by taking a building-wide approach to floor area measurement.
