High-Capacity Radio (HCR)The HCR is a small form-factor, highly ruggedized tactical radio that delivers high-bandwidth throughput over long distances using point-to-point microwave wireless technology. The radio’s dramatic increase in bandwidth capability over previous generation radios is expected to accelerate the adoption of handheld devices and next-generation applications at the tactical edge, a key trend within many militaries around the world. The new radio’s much smaller form factor requires fewer assets to deploy and less logistical support than previous generation HCLOS radios, providing users with secure voice, data, video and sensor backhaul communications in difficult, hard to reach, operating environments. The HCR incorporates and improves on the best features of the battle-proven Ultra Electronics, TCS AN/GRC-245 and AN/GRC-512 radios to form a new platform that can perform multiple roles. The single box mast mount radio supports the roles of a High-Capacity Line-of-Sight (HCLOS) radio relay, including spectrum efficiency and long range waveforms, as well as a true full-band Electronic Counter Counter Measure (ECCM) radio relay. Therefore, it effectively provides two radio types in a single common platform, enabling each relay vehicle to quickly mix and match each mode to suit battlefield conditions. As a Software-Defined Radio (SDR), the HCR’s unique architecture facilitates technology insertions while allowing for interoperability with legacy platforms, including the Ultra AN/GRC-245 and AN/GRC-512 radios
RadioBridgeThe RadioBridge integrates mobile radios, SATCOM/TETRA/GSM terminals, IP & analog telephone systems, user head-sets and networked communication terminals. It provides next-generation radio and intercom communications capabilities while dramatically reducing size, weight and power requirements over previous generation technology. This ruggedized system integrates 4 or 8 radios, a communications switch, and a call manager into a single compact, lightweight and low-power unit suitable for vehicles, ships and airborne systems. It supports multiple simultaneous radio repeater, crosspatch, conference and intercom network connections. It reduces bandwidth demand by mixing many audio streams into one audio stream. This combined audio stream can be sent in IP/UDP/RTP unicast or multicast stream to other RadioBridge units. An optional plug-in card for the system supports quad FXO lines, quad FXS telephone lines, and a single Primary Rate ISDN T1/E1 span Features and benefits Excellent SWaP for vehicular, shipborne & airborne installation Radio agnostic communications Easy to use web interface Flexible & customizable user interface & profiles Local & remote radio control Scalable system Multiple simultaneous radio repeater, cross-patch, conference & intercom network connections Data transmission & reception All military connectors Automated call routing Embedded conference bridge Configurable voice & IP packet detect VOX transmit control modes Optional T1/E1 ISDN & quad FXO, FXS ports SIP and H.323 support Java console operator application DSCP tagging of SIP and IP/UDP/SIP packets G.711 and G.729 codecs support MELPe support
SuperHighwaySuperHighway products are developed to integrate legacy non-IP devices into an IP network. They combine Serial and IP Traffic for Legacy Radios or Fiber links. It allows transmission over an AN/GRC-245 or fiber optic link to restore comms in emergency situations. Its primary objective is to upgrade existing bandwidth limited systems. Two main variants: LAN Combiner unit: Combine a single trunk group with a 100/1000BaseT LAN to provide a data overlay for existing area communications systems Group Combiner unit: Group multiplexing capability to combine up to 4 multiplexed trunk groups
Ultra ORIONThe Ultra ORION is a multichannel, multiband, point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) radio system. It provides At-the-Quick-Halt (ATQH) communications across multiple echelons and On-the-Move (OTM) access capability. The system offers up to 1 Gbps throughput and operational flexibility within a small mast or vehicle-mounted form factor. The same radio serves as a high-capacity backhaul, backhaul repeater, range extension node, aggregation/distribution and access point, WLAN or remote station at the tactical edge. The versatile radio system maximizes flexibility to support different misions while reducing training costs and supporting logistics. Additional software-defined waveforms can allow the radio to operate in a high-threat environment and support overwater applications. Key features Reduces total cost of ownership with 3 radios in 1 Enables incremental growth using SDR and modular architecture 4G LTE enabler and edge device integration Up to 1 Gbps system Secure and intuitive graphical user interface MIMO technology MIL-STD-810G & 461F, IP67
