Jeff Usheroff has managed the company since 1973 and is its sole shareholder. The company operates out of a 51K sq ft building acquired in mid 2007. PRODUCTS The Daveco product line is broadly defined as electronic accessories and covers more than 3,500 items. These include plugs, jacks, moulded cable assemblies and television accessories (matching transformers, splitters and cables), which are sold to retailers primarily in display packaging and to wholesalers in both bulk and display packaging. Consumer items, such as AV furniture, brackets, projection screens, Interconnect cables, surge protector power bars, microphones, headphones and much more are sold to audio hi-fi and video stores. Many of the audio hi-fi stores also operate after-sales service centres. All Daveco products are presented in a catalogue which is provided to our customers which they, in turn, often make available to the consumer. Most customers display Daveco products on specially designed racks which we maintain every three to four weeks. DISTRIBUTION Daveco services approximately 900 active accounts across Canada, totalling about 1,500 outlets. The majority of our customers are independent, audio hi-fi retail stores and electronic wholesalers. We also have experience with smaller chains/mass merchandisers and other distribution channels, such as car radio installers, commercial sound installers. The sales organization of eleven seasoned professionals calls on accounts on a regular basis for product presentations, sales training and overall customer support. BUYING GROUPS Daveco is an approved vendor for all major buying groups in Canada including Transwest VIP (Mega), Cantrex, and Finance companies, notably, GE Capital. |
