| steel detailing | The firm of Valron Engineers Inc. has been in the detailing business for more than 10 years. We are located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. We are a structural design and detailing company with a full time in-house technical staff of 12. They are comprised of the following; 3 engineers, 2 senior technicians, 5 detailers and 2 checkers. The experience of the individual detailers ranges from 20 to 2 years. We are familiar with connection design in accordance with both AISC and CISC code requirements. Two of our engineers provide connection design on a regular basis. Our firm provides a full range of engineering services from One of the more senior detailers has expertise in 3-D modeling of hip and valley roof framing and curved beam and girder structures. Our senior checker also has significant experience in this area. Currently our 3-D modeling is done on an in-house CADKEY software program with many customized macros that make detailing efficient and accurate. In the upcoming months we are going to be phasing in the powerful automated 3-D detailing software package, X-STEEL, into our operations. This software package will allow us to produce detailing jobs more cheaply and in shorter timeframes. An added feature is the ability to automatically generate auxiliary reports, bills of materials, etc. that can be of benefit to the client. Based in Moncton NB Canada, Valron Engineers Inc. Our experience as detailers lies in structures for buildings, churches, schools, hospitals, cinemas, industrial buildings, miscellaneous mine sites, refineries and powerplant work such as pipe racks, equipment platforms, stairs, handrails, ladders, as well as marine structures, turbine and generator lagging. We find that our capacity is such that 200 to 300 ton jobs running concurrently with smaller projects works well for us. We are currently setting up our web site as an on-line resource, with the capability of password protected data access and viewer integration. In other words, this system will allow for extremely easy document transfer between ourselves and our clients via the internet. This will provide very smooth communication of drawings. |
