| Project Management/Construction | K-Line International (Canada) Limited is a privately owned Canadian company. We are a high voltage electrical construction company specializing in the design, construction and commissioning of substations, transmission lines and related equipment. The company works exclusively outside Canada. We are actively pursuing the developing countries of the world where growth and expansion is the greatest. In particular are the countries of the Caribbean, Africa, South and Central America where we excel. Our clients are utilities, consultants and commercial industries. Possible joint ventures with local companies are also business opportunities we look for. K-Line International is involved in the complete management of substation projects including the design and engineering, procurement, civil works, installation and commissioning. All drawings are done using the latest Auto-Cad programs. In transmission line projects, we provide turn-key services and repairs to existing lines, including live line work. The engineering is done using PLS-CADD software. We string of all types of conductor and fibre optic cable. Pole line construction ranges from steel poles with no guying to deadend wood poles. Underground line work is another branch of expertise for K-Line International. Proper installation of underground cabling systems is important to electrical and environmental conditions. We are sensitive to the local conditions and restoring the work area. Proper splicing and terminating of all cable provides proper conductivity. The engineering is done in-house or subcontracted to other Canadian firms. Civil works and installation is normally done using local contractors with the supervision of K-Line. On some occasions, our own crew, using state of the art equipment from our large fleet of specialized construction equipment, will assist in the installation of the works. Our engineers perform the final testing and commissioning. We have an extensive sourcing network and procure equipment from manufactures all over the world. As an ISO 9001 company, we procure only from approved quality suppliers. As technologies change so does K-Line. We keep up to date with the latest in communication equipment, automation systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems, and fibre optics worldwide. We apply new technologies and concepts from other projects as well as ideas from our large staff under the K-Line Group of Companies to give the customer exactly what they want. Dealing with different countries and their varying electrical systems, we have flexible designs to suit a particular situation. Working with consultants or the client directly we can provide innovative solutions to an ever-changing technical field. |
