| Padmashri Massage oils | Information on Traditional Ayurvedic Self-Care Oils - Padmashri Oils These are therapeutic oils with no added fragrances and is not an aromatherapy oil The line has 7 oils for retail and additional 4 for professional use. Padmashri Oils are prepared by Ayurvedic pharmacists in a labor intensive method of decoction of herbs and natural substances in heat stable sesame oil This special preparation process makes the oils Trans dermal, with a specific molecular size which allow the healing properties to reach blood stream easily. No Ayurvedic doshas analysis is needed. Oils are developed to address the present disorder or symptoms irrespective of the doshas that one is born with. In Ayurvedic terms- to be used for Vikriti ( present disorder) and not Prakriti (ones original dosha -psychosomatic or metabolic constitutions). Warm oil to be applied before shower and left for 10-20 minutes and rinsed off with warm water to detoxify the body. As a moisturizer it could be used as bath oil or body oil. Suggested use as a whole body self care 1-2 times a week, partial care daily on affected areas. Brief information for each oil: 1. Nourishing Vata Oil For dry skin, mental agitation and minor aches and pains. Apply to affected areas with special attention to lower abdomen, shoulders, arms and legs. 2. Cooling Pitta Oil For excess heat, anxious mind, sensitivity in skin and eyes. Apply to affected areas with special attention to head, abdomen and sensitive skin. 3. Invigorating Kapha Oil Weak circulation, congestion, heaviness and cellulite. Apply to affected areas after dry brushing with loofah to increase circulation. 4. Balancing Tridosha Oil Preventive measure to balance all doshas or complex and variable symptoms. 5. Baby Balance Oil For Delicate and sensitive skin of babies for minor irritations or adult skin moisturizer to improve the complexion. For babies: apply before shower and feeding; For adults: use as a skin moisturizer twice a day 6. Hair and Scalp Oil - Dandruff, falling hair, dry and thinning hair, itchy and irritated scalp. Apply generously to scalp and leave for 30 minutes or overnight followed by mild shampoo (no conditioner required) 7. Mahanarayana Oil Classical oil to relieve pain in joints, ligaments and nerves. Apply heat to affected areas and massage the oil to be absorbed in to the skin. |
